Why did I name my business Opportunity Consulting…?
Pete Murray is an Australian singer-songwriter who is quite the inspiration in himself. (My Slovakian friend here in England watches Neighbours, and is therefore familiar with the Aussie vernacular… ‘He’s a spunk,’ she quite rightly tells me.)
And then there’s his songs… They are true in emotion, sometimes painfully so - and evocative of life’s great stories and turning points, whether brought about by joy or tragedy. There are so many I love, and I’m sure I’ll be singing them to my dying day.
But it’s the song Opportunity that has had the profoundest effect on me. If ever I need encouragement to be brave and try something new, to follow my dreams, then I turn to this song. Which is why I named my new business in honour of the song - this is the exit I wanted to take, and Pete gave me the push I needed to do so.
